🌍 International Opportunities – A Huge Season Ahead!

We’re excited to announce some incredible opportunities for our players over the coming months:

  • UNITED FUTSAL World Cup – Barcelona
Our 2014 age group will be competing in Barcelona from 26th–31st December, taking on some of the best futsal clubs in the world.

  • Junior Futsal Cup – Madrid
Straight after Barcelona, another 2014 squad will head to Madrid from 1st–5th January, with more world-class clubs in attendance.

  • Venezia Futsal Cup – January 2026
No fewer than five Joga age groups will travel to Venice to take part in a tournament that has already given us some unforgettable moments – and even created a few Joga legends!

  • Something New…
We’re working on adding one more group to these tournaments – the first of its kind in Scotland. Stay tuned, this one is not to be missed!

This demonstrates our commitment to developing top Scottish futsal players – with over 50 players gaining international exposure at the highest level of the game in a short two week period.

Our reputation as a club is now GLOBAL and we have invitations to attend tournaments across the world at various stages throughout the year.

⚽ Joga Foundation Updates

  • Frame Football Kit: We’re delighted to share some great images on our socials of players receiving their brand-new training kits – be sure to check them out!

  • New Inclusive Sessions: We’re working hard behind the scenes on some exciting new sessions. Keep an eye out – we’ll be announcing more inclusive opportunities in the coming weeks.

🏌️ Joga Golf Day – Update

We know many of you were excited about the first-ever Joga Golf Day, however, due to timing and logistical reasons we’ve decided to delay this event until Spring 2026.

This allows us to plan something bigger and better, and ensure it’s a day that players, parents, sponsors, and the community can all enjoy together.

πŸš€ New U16 Team Kicks Off!

We’re delighted to launch an exciting new U16 squad this month.

Working alongside Futsal Escocia, Strathaven Dynamo, and PYF Saltires, this initiative provides more opportunities for players who:

  • aren’t yet old enough for our Development Teams, or

  • find it physically challenging to compete against adults at this stage.

The action begins on Sunday 28th September, with our U16s playing their first fixture away to Strathaven Dynamo at the Ally McCoist Centre in East Kilbride.

This is a fantastic step in building the pathway for young Scottish futsal players – best of luck to the squad in their opening game!

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ« New Coaches Join the Joga Team

At Joga, we are very particular when it comes to our coaching staff. We want to ensure players always receive high-quality coaching, but just as importantly, we want to make sure they are working with good people. We’re delighted to say that Sorley and Jude certainly fit that mould.

  • Jude Crawford – Despite being only 17, Jude shows maturity well beyond his years. Having progressed through the Academy from a young age, he has played against some of the top teams in the world and continues to represent our First Team to a high standard.

  • Sorley Youngs – Another Academy graduate with a track record of success. Sorley might even tell you he’s the all-time top goalscorer in Joga history – and he’s still adding to that tally in our First Team!

Both bring not only their futsal knowledge and playing experience but also their character, passion, and commitment to helping the next generation of Joga players thrive.

πŸ“š Learning & Development

  • Pre-Session Analysis is now live with multiple age groups! Short tactical discussions before training sessions will help players improve decision-making on the court.

  • Whatsapp Groups All parents should now be part of the whatsapp group for the sessions in which their child attends, with weekly reviews of each session with the parents, including key takeaways, coaching points and some video analysis too.
